**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Instrument Specialist to join our team at Winona Health. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning, decontamination, inspection, preparation, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, tracking, distribution, and overall processing of supplies, instruments, and equipment used in the operating rooms and departments throughout Winona Health.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain adequate sterile supplies within the surgery departments and other areas within WH.
  • Decontaminate, disinfect, inspect, prepare, assemble, package, sterilize, and store instruments and rays according to national standards.
  • Track and record data from equipment (cycle parameters, etc), biologic indicators, count sheets, cleaning, maintenance, and graphs as determined through the manufacturer's instructions, national standards, and WH policy/procedure.

**Requirements:**

  • High school/GED/equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Sterilization (or Central Supply/Service) Technician Program.
  • Sterilization Technician Certification (IAHCSMM or equivalent).

**Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
