About the Role

Cinemark is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare all types of sushi, including sashimi, nigiri, maki, and classic rolls, in accordance with approved recipes and portion controls.
  • Menu Execution: Follow and execute prep lists daily to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain policies and procedures to minimize food waste and theft, and ensure a clean and safe food preparation environment.
  • Guest Experience: Provide a professional image at all times through proper Cinemark culinary attire and ensure that standard operating procedures and all preventative maintenance, safety, and sanitation are consistently achieved.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment and independently to meet the needs of our guests.
Requirements
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary Experience: Prior work experience as a Sushi Cook or sushi products preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with all ages, genders, and personalities, and to take and follow direction.
