Responsibilities/Job Description:

Job Expectations:
Oversees daily operations of designated areas to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, values, and objectives.


Plans, manages, coordinates, and assesses patient care activities, including staffing, resource allocation, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and financial management.

Responsible for managing equipment inventory and supplies within the operational budget.

Accountable for capacity management to enhance patient flow.

Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates quality improvement initiatives.

In addition, the Clinical Operations Supervisor:
Is tasked with human resources management to ensure quality service and foster positive employee relations.

Ensures adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Advocates for the needs of patients, families, and staff.

Drives initiatives that enhance patient-centered care and improve customer experiences.

Collaborates with the Nursing Practice and Education team to ensure evidence-based and best practice clinical care is delivered.

Ensures staff compliance with job requirements, educational standards, and clinical competencies.

Works alongside the Nurse Director to set goals and objectives.

Promotes a culture of high employee engagement, professional growth, nursing education, and research.

Partners with interdisciplinary team members across the continuum of care to achieve organizational outcomes.

Qualifications:
Required

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing. A Master's degree in nursing or healthcare is acceptable, provided the Bachelor's degree is in a different field.

Experience

Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with at least one year in a formal or informal leadership role (charge, lead, preceptor). Familiarity with the patient population served in the area of responsibility.

License/Certification/Registration

Licensed Registered Nurse. Must be able to obtain a Minnesota nursing license upon hire.

BLS certification

Preferred

Education

Master's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.

Experience

One year of ICU experience or two years of IMC-level experience.

License/Certification/Registration

ANCC or AONL Certification
