Job Title: Flight Nurse

Are you a skilled nurse with a passion for flying and delivering patient care in high-pressure situations? We're seeking a dedicated Flight Nurse to join our team of air transportation experts.

Job Summary:

As a Flight Nurse, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as providing critical care in emergency situations. You will work collaboratively with our team of air and ground professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
  • Provide a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintain regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience in critical care clinical setting.
  • Maintains current licensure or certification in at least one state (and any applicable states).
  • Current driver's license.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications - BCLS, ACLS, PALS.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - Provided During Orientation.
  • Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) within 1 year of hire date.
  • Specialty certification (CFRN) within 2 years of hire date.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Instructor certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC).
  • Previous air medical transport experience.
  • BSN / MSN.
  • Prior EMS experience.
