Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cannabis Security Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing our premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor facility parking lot and entrance/exit of members, staff, vendors, contractors, visitors, and other individuals to prevent theft and maintain security.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to identify potential security risks and take corrective action.
  • Work with the Retail team to secure premises and personnel.
  • Conduct routine patrols and inspections of dispensaries and grounds.
  • Monitor video surveillance system as requested.
  • In case of emergency, secure staff, visitors, and buildings; act as liaison with local police or law enforcement.
  • Prevent losses and damage by informing violators of policy and procedure and restraining trespassers.
  • Detect, assess, and project security risks while creating solutions to best protect employees and customers.
  • Maintain daily written and/or electronic tracking sheets noting all activity on premises.
  • Escort staff members or others between vehicles and the building as needed.
  • Document incidents or accidents and report them to the General Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • BSIS Guard Card required.
  • Experience in private or public security, law enforcement, or government security agencies.
  • Knowledge of computer and office equipment and programs (Word, Excel, office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems).
  • Ability to focus, attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and calmly.
  • Ability to remain calm in periods of high stress or unusual activity.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, absolute reliability, and honesty.
  • Resident with a current valid State-issued ID or Driver's License.
  • Extended time sitting, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Complete a State/Federal background check and fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • This role starts out at $20 per hour.
  • Benefits include Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, paid time off, an FSA account, a Retirement Savings Account, and an EAP (employee assistance program). We also offer a store employee discount, tuition reimbursement, a green commute, and a wellness incentive.

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 per year.
Location: Varies depending on location.
