Job Overview

Position Summary

This role entails overseeing the routine operation and upkeep of designated oil and gas processing machinery at booster stations and Central Processing Facilities (CPFs). The incumbent will be tasked with identifying issues or potential concerns, maintaining documentation, and reporting production metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced operational role within the organization.
  • Mentor and instruct new personnel and contractors on all facility functions and daily responsibilities.
  • Adhere to safe operational practices and ensure compliance with the company’s Environmental, Safety, and Regulatory standards. This includes active participation in safety meetings and adherence to Near Miss Reporting, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews, Stop Work Authority, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Monitor all oil and gas production apparatus, including SCADA systems, heater treaters, pumps, instrument air systems, oil/gas gathering lines, flow lines, engines, compressors, tanks, and ECDs.
  • Exhibit advanced operational skills, including but not limited to SCADA systems, tank gauging, heater treaters, line heaters, gas lift systems, and all associated VRUs, VRTs, VRLs, and seal records.
  • Prepare oil and condensate tanks for product sales, coordinating with dispatch for timely removal of produced fluids from lease sites.
  • Act as the first responder to gas lift compression issues at well pads to assess whether external assistance is needed or if it is a production-related issue.
  • Conduct daily and weekly pipeline pigging operations for oil and gas.
  • Perform routine operational checks on gas gathering booster stations and central production facilities, including maintenance operations, dehydration processes, data collection, and ensuring cleanliness standards are met.
  • Evaluate and interpret gas meters and tank gauges, converting measurements to ensure precise documentation of lease operations.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle, complying with all driving regulations and company vehicle policies.
  • Synchronize production data daily to provide timely updates to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct inspections as necessary to ensure compliance with CHPHE, EPA, State regulations, and company policies.
  • Engage in route reviews to share insights about facilities with Foreman, Production Engineering, Facility Engineering, and other operational teams.
  • Foster a positive public image through daily interactions with landowners.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, and/or assist in the repair of equipment.
  • Work in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and mud, while performing duties in potentially hazardous environments throughout the year.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with CIVITAS Environment, Safety, and Regulatory requirements.
  • Guarantee that all work performed aligns with CIVITAS standards.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of prior experience as a facility operator.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in facility operations.
  • Previous experience in a Lease Operator/Pumper role is preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel between field sites is necessary.
