Position Overview:

The Registered Nurse in the Patient Care Unit is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing services to patients and their families. This role emphasizes compassionate, personalized care, ensuring that each patient receives the attention and support they need throughout their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage daily patient operations to enhance care quality, safety, and satisfaction.
  2. Prioritize and respond to patient requests efficiently.
  3. Provide educational resources to patients to support their care plans and health decisions.
  4. Delegate nursing tasks appropriately in compliance with state regulations.
  5. Utilize strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills in patient care.
  6. Handle a high volume of patient inquiries regarding medications and care information.
  7. Administer medications and assist with medical procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
  8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  9. Work autonomously with minimal oversight while maintaining high standards of care.
  10. Advocate for patient safety and preferences through effective communication and relationship-based care.
  11. Exemplify the principles of a Just Culture and uphold organizational values.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of nursing experience is preferred.
Licensure:
  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact state.
Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in computer skills is necessary for completing online training and accessing essential resources.
Language Proficiency:
  • Strong command of the English language is required for effective communication.
Educational Background:
  • An Associate Nursing Degree is required for candidates hired after specified date.
