Adecco Staffing is collaborating with a logistics company to recruit experienced Freight Handlers who thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Work Schedule:
Midnight - 8:00 AM, Monday to Friday
Compensation:
$20 to $21 per hour, Temp to Hire
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift, preferably with freight handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle freight using various motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that documentation accurately reflects freight details, including type, weight, and any hazardous materials, utilizing both electronic and manual systems.
- Secure freight within trailers using the appropriate tools and materials, such as pallets, straps, and ropes.
- Repair or recoup damaged freight as necessary.
- Complete and verify all required documentation and reports.
- Assist customers with freight and related documentation as needed.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Additional Requirements:
- Prior dock or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math and counting, with or without a calculator.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to follow instructions and complete necessary training.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
