Job Title: Railroad Tie Installer

National Salvage & Service is seeking a skilled Railroad Tie Installer to join our Civil Division team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing railroad ties and other treated hardwood products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install railroad ties and other treated hardwood products
  • Ensure ground is prepped and graded, and trenches dug out for pipes that are safe to be in
  • Dig trenches with shovels
  • Ability to perform repetitive heavy duty labor tasks
  • Other general labor and construction related duties as required

Requirements:

  • 1+ years general labor experience
  • 1+ years pipe laying experience
  • Comfortable being part of a team and a team player
  • Demonstrating personal integrity, resilience, and respect for others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Follow OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures

Physical Requirements:

Stand, Walk, Climb, Bend, Twist, Move Throughout the Day, Use Hands in Repetitive Motions, Repeat Same Movements, walk on uneven terrain, Lift 50 pounds, Exposed to Loud Noises, and all weather elements.

Must be able to pass a pre-offer drug test
