Job Summary

SSC is seeking a skilled Roofing Technician to join our team. As a Roofing Technician, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs, ensuring that our facilities are safe and secure for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair leaks in various types of roofs, parapet walls, flashings, and other roofing structures.
  • Install roof vents and other roofing components.
  • Prepare new built-up roofs and apply asphalt shingles and corrugated roofing.
  • Apply waterproofing to exterior walls and clean all types of masonry buildings.
  • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on roofs, ensuring that they are in good condition.
  • Update work statuses and documents tasks completed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Rudimentary ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and kneel/bend/stoop and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
  • Some exposure to elevated degrees of high heat, noise, dust, dirt, and/or areas requiring infection control.
  • Requires meeting deadlines for completion of work on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to work all hours, including weekends and nights, as necessary, in order to maintain facility at the appropriate and safe level.
