Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Alverno Laboratories. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens, performing laboratory office duties, and processing laboratory specimens.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients using aseptic techniques and following established procedures.
  • Accurately and completely enter patient data into the computer system, including demographic information and test orders.
  • Process laboratory specimens, including preparation for testing and/or sending to the central laboratory or reference laboratory.
  • Perform limited waived and specified non-waived POC tests as authorized by the Laboratory Director.
  • Act as a driver and participate in the on-call rotation as required.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous phlebotomy experience and/or training is required.
  • Background in a medical laboratory and/or knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
