Senior Technical Assembly Specialist

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Bench Technician to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects by performing specialized tasks and supervising team members.
Your primary duties will include:
- Reading, interpreting, and following blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions/procedures to accurately assemble and repair equipment and products.
- Testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies and test equipment by aligning, testing, and troubleshooting to the component level for all types of digital, analog, and RF circuitry.
- Soldering/desoldering skills of electronic components to PCBs and other assemblies.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to:
- Analyze, interpret test data, including recommending changes in circuitry by deviations from the original design specifications not affecting system design or laboratory procedures.
- Recommend changes to the installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
- Assemble experimental circuitry/prototype models according to engineering instructions and technical manuals (includes but not limited to adjusting, calibrating, aligning, and modifying circuitry and components and recording the effects on unit performance).
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong understanding of electronics, electrical circuitry, engineering mathematics, electronic, and electrical testing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to discuss layout and assembly procedures, detect problems, and recommend solutions with the electrical design team.
- Experience working with relevant test equipment, such as RF Network Analyzers, RF Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, High Voltage probes, LCR bridges, RF calibration kits, DVMs, Function Generators, Capacitance and Inductance meters, etc.
- Familiarity with databases and software, such as Quantum, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and Planner, etc.

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this position, you must have:
- 6+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing engineering, operations, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced repair environment, including bench testing and troubleshooting.
- IPC Connector/Harness and PCB certified (preferred)
- IPC soldering certified (preferred)
