Position Overview for Security Monitor:
- Keep a detailed record of individuals entering and leaving the facility, documenting any irregular occurrences.
- Conduct surveillance of the premises, ensuring the safety and security of residents.
- Verify that all access points to the facility are properly secured.
- Oversee compliance with fire safety regulations and emergency procedures.
- Provide support for administrative tasks as needed.
- Carry out minor maintenance duties when maintenance personnel are unavailable.
- Operate independently in managing facility coverage and responding to emergencies.
- Engage in regular meetings with the Security Supervisor for guidance and professional development.
- Assist in the logistics of supply and furniture deliveries.
- Contribute to team meetings and participate in training workshops.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a security monitoring role.
- Experience in a residential facility operating 24 hours a day.
- Possession of a valid New York State Security Guard Registration.
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in computer use, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
