Network Systems Administrator

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Network Administrator to join its team at the Watervliet, NY Arsenal Site location. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network systems, as well as ensuring the security and integrity of the network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and software, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage network security, including implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control lists.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve network efficiency.
- Develop and maintain local procedures for network operations, including backup and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with user support personnel to train office personnel and functional end users on the use of office automation computers, local and wide area networks, and other automated tools.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Network Administration, with experience in Domain Name System (DNS) server administration and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server administration.
- CompTIA SEC+ (Security Plus) or equivalent certification, such as CCNA/CCNP, required.
- Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Secret Clearance required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, occasional working at elevated heights on platforms, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
