We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at Las Palmas Medical Center. As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in providing evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to patients with moderate to complex nutritional risk.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients for risk of malnutrition and consult with healthcare team to provide best practice.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans of care for patients with moderate to complex nutritional risk.
- Educate patients, families, community providers, and medical team on medical nutrition therapy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based clinical practices through ongoing professional development.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Four-year degree in food and nutrition and successful completion of experience through ADA program.
- Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Association required, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
- Licensed by the State of Texas required, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
