Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking qualified APRNs/PAs for the Emergency Department at Akron General. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with physicians and residents in a supportive and collegial environment.
Job Summary:We are looking for experienced APRNs/PAs who are certified in Family Medicine or have dual certification (Adult and Pediatrics) to treat patients of all ages. New graduates with ED experience as a RN or through clinical rotations will also be considered.
Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough medical histories and perform complete physical examinations
- Initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests, or other special tests required for evaluation of illness
- Develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
- Refer patients to specialists as appropriate
- Participate in medical team rounds and quality monitoring
- MSN required upon hire or within 3 years of hire for external hires and internal hires moving from a non-APRN licensed role to an APRN licensed role
- Graduate of an accredited ARPN training program
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in applicable certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
The Akron General Main hospital is a level one trauma center. Our advanced practice providers work closely with the physicians and residents, and enjoy a supportive and collegial work environment.
