We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Child Welfare Specialist.
Salary Information:- Level I: $37,280.75 per year + comprehensive state employee benefits
- Level II: $40,077.79 per year + comprehensive state employee benefits
- Level III: $43,968.62 per year + comprehensive state employee benefits
In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting home visits and assessments, referring families to local services, participating in investigations, and testifying in court hearings.
You will also have the opportunity to provide direct services to children in placement and collaborate with other agencies to achieve optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and develop strategies for improvement
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to families, promoting healthy relationships and self-sufficiency
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective case plans
- Pursue and secure kinship placements for children, prioritizing family connections and stability
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring timely reporting and compliance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in social work or a related field
- Completion of 90 hours from an accredited college or university or three years of child welfare experience
- A combination of education and experience may be considered
