Job Title: Data Analytics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our team at UP Entertainment. As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our technology team in maintaining, enhancing, and expanding our technology and data infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The Data Analytics Engineer will collaborate with technologists, marketers, data scientists, and company management to drive growth in our streaming and TV platforms. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Streaming Unit, Marketing, Audience Insight, and Executive team members to connect and maintain data sources.
  • Support data inquiries, analyze data, and identify trends to present actionable insights.
  • Monitor, maintain data quality and reliability of data pipelines, and troubleshoot data integrity issues within the Marketing Technology Stack.
  • Prototype innovative analytic solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to move vetted solutions to production as required.
  • Work with a cross-functional Metadata Assurance and Data Privacy Team to implement best practices for data and metadata quality, governance, integrity, and privacy.
  • Develop, edit, and maintain ETL/ELT processes to transform input datasets to desired output datasets.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, updates, and periodic reports, presenting them to cross-functional teams and management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or 2-4 years of relevant work experience acquired through data bootcamps; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with cloud environments, specifically AWS or Google Cloud is strongly preferred. Knowledge of AI and GenAI technologies is a plus.
  • Strong background in Python and other open-source languages, with additional experience in Node.js and its frameworks (Express, Meteor, Nestjs) is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the entertainment industry is a plus.

  • Oral & Written Communications: Exceptional, written, and oral communication skills. Communicates well one on one, in small groups and larger presentations. Writes clear, precise, well-organized documents using appropriate vocabulary, grammar, and wording.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team; experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrates proficiency in systems, process tools, software and/or other technology and tools used by the company, which are essential to successful performance in the employee's role.
Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, in addition to the skills in the Education/Experience noted above an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Google Workspace. Preferred experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Mode), data analysis, ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load), and workflow automation. Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and web development is a plus.
