Overview

The Senior Logistics Analyst I for the Delivery Assistance Team (DAT) plays a crucial role in ensuring visibility throughout the shipping process, generating reports, and managing country-specific customs clearance protocols essential for the effective execution of international shipments and deliveries. The DAT also supports the Security Cooperation Officer (SCO) in managing the receipt, identification, inventory, and accountability of materials upon delivery. Team members are well-versed in shipping requirements and assist with the proper labeling of materials for transit. Additionally, DAT personnel contribute to program evaluations and process enhancements through After-Action Reviews (AAR) and the application of lessons learned. This position entails significant travel to various locations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare necessary travel documentation prior to departure, including APACS, IATP, STEP, and Global Entry.
  • Complete required online training modules such as Information Assurance Awareness, Anti-Terrorism Level 1, and ISOPREP.
  • Inform the Contract Lead of expected deliveries that may require assistance, including specific dates and special conditions.
  • Forecast delivery assistance needs and estimate associated costs for mission completion.
  • Update and disseminate the weekly Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) Delivery Assistance Forecast.
  • Collaborate with LMS Support, warehouse staff, and HAZMAT teams to accurately locate, identify, and count items as necessary. Ensure the precision of required documentation such as 1149s, Military Shipping Labels (MSLs), and Delivery Marking Briefs (DMBs).
  • Engage in all pre-delivery assessments with LMS and participate in synchronization calls with Transportation Officers and Assistants.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate host nation SCO for the delivery and support of BPC items.
  • Lead pre-delivery coordination meetings with the SCO in the host country, oversee the offloading of shipments, and confirm complete accountability of all items upon delivery, including the necessary documentation.
  • Compile After-Action Reports, take part in trip debriefings, and submit expense reports post-travel.
  • Execute special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education / Certifications: One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
    • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Experience with international travel.
    • Background in International Relations, Transportation, or Logistics Programs.
  • Skills & Technology Used:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access, PowerPoint).
    • Strong technical and documentation capabilities.
    • Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Other requirements:
    • This position requires 100% travel to various customer sites.
