Financial Operations Specialist

**About the Role**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our client's sports organization as a Financial Operations Specialist. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, and assisting with audit preparations.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Execute timely month-end accounting close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
* Contribute to the improvement of process workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Assist with customer invoicing, credit, and collections to ensure timely payments.
* Support the weekly vendor payment process and assist with annual 1099/1042 preparation.
* Play a key role in the annual audit process by preparing audit schedules and assisting auditors as needed.

**Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus, but not required.
* Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with knowledge of GAAP.
* Familiarity with working with various foreign currencies is a big bonus.

**Preferred Skills and Competencies**

* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
* Advanced Excel and database management skills preferred.
* Attention to detail is a must to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

**What We Offer**

* Competitive salary range: $50,000- $60,000.
