Restorative Care Assistant

Sunset Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative CNA to support our residents in achieving their physical rehabilitation and personal independence goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with restorative exercises and therapeutic activities to improve strength, balance, and independence.
- Implement range-of-motion exercises, mobility training, and ambulation assistance to promote physical rehabilitation.
- Provide personal care and support residents with transfer techniques, such as moving from bed to chair, and other daily movements.
- Document residents' progress and communicate any changes in their condition to the nursing and therapy teams.
- Encourage residents to participate in self-care activities and provide personal care when needed.
- Maintain equipment used for restorative care and ensure a safe environment during exercises.
- Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure continuity of care and progress toward goals.
- Promote a positive, motivating atmosphere to encourage resident engagement in restorative programs.
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent, and Illinois CNA Certification.
- Previous CNA experience preferred. On-the-job training provided by a Restorative Supervisor.
