Job Summary

The Senior Maintenance Aide is a seasonal position responsible for performing unskilled manual labor in cleaning up and maintaining State property. The ideal candidate will have a valid California Driver's License and be able to operate various vehicles, including trucks, automobiles, and electric carts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain the Auto Shop according to County of San Diego Health Department standards
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance, including oil, fluid, and air filter changes, brake repair, and tire replacement
  • Load and operate vehicle lifts and other equipment in the Auto shop or in the field
  • Drive vehicles to pick up parts, deliver vehicles to repair shops, and perform other tasks as needed
  • Fills out Monthly Time Reports, Vehicle Usage Reports, and other required documents
Requirements
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Ability to operate various vehicles, including trucks, automobiles, and electric carts
  • Ability to perform physical labor and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions

The Senior Maintenance Aide will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards. The position requires the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and to lift heavy objects.
