About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with brain injuries, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and emotional or behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor health conditions, provide quality services, and ensure adherence to medical plans.
  • Administer medications, oversee medication administration by staff members, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Provide prescribed medical treatment according to physician orders and offer personal care services.
  • Conduct assessments, implement healthcare services, and respond to changes in condition.
  • Train staff members on universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration.
  • Serve as a liaison and advocate with other medical providers and coordinate services with external agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or related field, or state certification
  • One year of experience working with the population served in a nursing capacity
  • Current state LPN or LVN licensure for state of residence
  • Valid driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
  • Other certifications as required by state licensing regulations
  • Effective communication skills

About the Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on location and experience.
