Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at a school district near Jacksonville, Florida. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting evaluations and assessments of students' speech and language abilities, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and providing speech therapy in individual or small group settings.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' speech and language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents
  • Provide speech therapy in individual or small group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques
  • Monitor and track student progress towards IEP goals, making data-driven decisions to inform instruction
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress notes, and communication with teachers and parents
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate speech goals into classroom activities, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational goal setting, ensuring that students' needs are met and progress is monitored
Requirements
  • Current Florida State License
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • PDE Teaching Certificate
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
