Maintenance Technician Job Description

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on production and warehouse equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency.
  • Design, build, and install custom solutions to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
  • Repair and maintain building structures, including minor construction projects.
  • Ensure the grounds are safe and well-maintained.
  • Provide timely updates and feedback to management and vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and instructions.
Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and at least 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certifications in a technical field a plus.
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
