Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our team at Trinity Health Of New England. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in coordinating care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate care for patients among general surgery, surgical oncology, bariatric, minimally invasive, and robotic surgical services to ensure seamless comprehensive surgical care.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and family members to provide transparent understanding of care being provided.
  • Educate patients and family members on care being provided, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their treatment plan.
  • Collaborate with radiology, pathology, laboratory, and primary care & referring offices to provide comprehensive care for patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in Connecticut.
  • 3 years of practical experience in surgical nursing and familiarity with new trends and practices in surgery, including minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery.
  • BLS certification required.
