Position Summary:
The Vascular Ultrasound Specialist (RVT) plays a crucial role in conducting non-invasive diagnostic ultrasound assessments as prescribed for patients experiencing peripheral arterial, venous, carotid artery, and renal artery conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to the development and execution of the department's vision and mission.
2. Perform and document ultrasound evaluations accurately.
3. Analyze ultrasound results and prepare preliminary reports.
4. Coordinate scheduling of exams to align with other patient assessments and departmental needs.
5. Maintain comprehensive records of examination data and relevant patient information.
6. Ensure cleanliness and organization within workspaces.
7. Assist in the proper positioning and transfer of patients to ensure comfort.
8. Engage in professional development through hospital educational initiatives, literature review, in-service training, workshops, and departmental meetings.
9. Operate diagnostic equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
10. Exhibit proficiency in assessing and treating patients across various age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and geriatrics.
11. Support the collection and documentation of quality assurance data for the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Labs and the Clinical Vascular Lab.
12. Uphold confidentiality regarding all materials handled within the organization and adhere to policies concerning employee, patient, and environmental safety.
13. Demonstrate the organization's Service Excellence Standards in all interactions with internal and external customers.
14. Participate in performance improvement initiatives focusing on clinical care, customer service, operational processes, and safety.
15. Exhibit financial responsibility through the efficient use of resources in daily operations.
16. Comply with organizational policies regarding attendance and professional appearance.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
The role requires sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent use of hands, and the ability to lift patients weighing up to 350 lbs with assistance. The position also involves frequent bending, reaching, and the ability to hear and see adequately for effective communication and assessment.

Qualifications:
Education:
Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Experience:
Prior experience in ultrasound technology is essential.

Work Schedule:
Typically Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with potential for additional hours as needed, including on-call responsibilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
