Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Co-op to join our Materials R&D team in Fremont, CA. As a Co-op, you will have the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge and learn new skills in the high-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct lab experiments under the guidance of senior scientists
  • Compound lab-scale formulations following formulation worksheets and SOPs
  • Prepare lab-scale coatings and test thermal, mechanical, and electrical performance
  • Optimize existing testing protocols and develop new test methods
  • Analyze samples using techniques such as microscopy, UV-vis, light scattering, rheometry, and surface tension
  • Handle multiple samples and tests efficiently and reliably
  • Support DOE and pilot trials
  • Organize and analyze data and share summaries and conclusions with team members
  • Exhibit safe lab practices at all times
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years education in a BS program in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Comfortable working in a chemical lab
  • Strong chemical and mechanical intuition
  • Experience using Excel and statistical data analysis programs
  • Excellent communication, organization, documentation, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time and manage own schedule
