Job Title: Tax Manager - High Net-Worth Individuals & Gift Tax

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in servicing high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on gift tax planning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary tax advisor for high-net-worth clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Understand clients' financial objectives and provide tailored tax advice to optimize their tax positions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of clients' tax situations and recommend proactive strategies.
  • Develop and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex individual, gift, and trust tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and stay updated on changes in tax laws.
  • Provide specialized advice on gift tax planning, including the use of trusts, charitable giving, and wealth transfer strategies.
  • Advise clients on the implications of significant gifts and help structure gifts to align with clients' estate planning goals.
  • Prepare and review gift tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or JD preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and gift tax.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, including recent changes and developments.
  • Proven experience in managing complex tax situations and providing strategic tax advice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop a team of tax professionals.
