Job Summary

RMC Anniston is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Echocardiograms and Other Cardiac Ultrasound Procedures: Conduct echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, dobutamine stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms according to established standards and practice.
  • Process Images for Interpretation: Review and process images for interpretation by medical professionals.
  • Assist in Equipment Selection: Assist in the selection of equipment according to specifications to ensure accurate and effective procedures.
  • Explain Exam Process to Patients: Clearly explain the exam process to patients and review their clinical history to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.
  • Operate Ultrasound Diagnostic Equipment: Safely and effectively operate ultrasound diagnostic equipment to capture high-quality images.
  • Maintain Equipment and Follow Safety Procedures: Regularly maintain equipment and follow proper safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Organize Work Area and Maintain Supplies: Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that all necessary supplies are available.
Requirements
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer: Possess a Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification from Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) or a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Experience: Have at least two years of experience in cardiac sonography in a hospital or outpatient setting, with knowledge of cardiac equipment.
  • BLS Certification: Hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Additional Details
  • Local Radius Rule: Must be willing to travel within a 60-mile radius.
