The esteemed position of Diesel Mechanic Technician Class B at Performance Foodservice is a rewarding opportunity for skilled technicians to showcase their expertise in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling the company's diesel fleet.
Salary and Benefits:
This distinguished role offers a competitive salary of $25.00 per hour or more, depending on experience, with opportunities for growth within the transportation industry. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and convertor dollies under minimal supervision.
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance through the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers, inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
- Train and provide guidance to other mechanics as needed.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and experience in refrigeration.
