Software Engineer for Missile Defense Systems

ASRC Federal is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to support the development and sustainment of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) anti-ballistic missile system project in Huntsville, AL.
Key Responsibilities- Review, develop, test, document, and implement software requirements for the GMD system.
- Collaborate with technical teams and customer personnel to deliver customer-focused results.
- Analyze complex problems and develop solutions based on limited direction and definition.
- Develop software using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C, C++, or Ada.
- Utilize math and physics software applications and tools to design and implement software solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience.
- Active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level; and a minimum of an interim secret clearance will be required to start.
- Experience developing software in object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C, C++, or Ada.
- Interest and experience in using math and physics software applications and tools.
- Experience, interest, and aptitude in developing software focused on command and control threat tracking, track correlation, discrimination services, and reporting services.
- Experience, interest, and aptitude in complex missile defense algorithms, associated software implementation, discrimination techniques, track correlation, and track processing.
- Interest and aptitude in designing and implementing software to solve complex algorithmic math and physics-based engagement planning problems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field.
- Experience with international sensors and fire control systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel.
- Proven communications skills with armed services & government customer.
