Covenant Health is a leading healthcare organization in East Tennessee, offering various specialties and services. We are currently seeking an experienced Endoscopy Specialist to join our team.
About the Role:
This full-time position involves working 80 hours per pay period on a day shift schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that flexible endoscopes are safe for patient use, following proper decontamination, inspection, and high-level disinfection procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-clean flexible endoscopes and reusable accessories according to manufacturer instructions
- Perform leak tests and meticulous manual cleaning before performing high-level disinfection or sterilization
- Visually inspect endoscopes and their accessories
- Perform high-level disinfection in accordance with manufacturer instructions
- Store endoscopes and accessories in a manner that prevents recontamination and promotes drying
- Maintain documentation of adherence to essential steps each time an endoscope is reprocessed
- FOLLOW COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AT ALL TIMES
Qualifications:
No minimum education or experience requirements. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a high school diploma or GED.
Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year
