About the Role

Northern Biomedical Research Inc is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Operating Room Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Job

This is a non-exempt role that involves working in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with surgical procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing patients and equipment
  • Maintain surgical equipment, including cleaning and sterilizing
  • Ensure accurate and efficient data collection and reporting
  • Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure seamless surgical operations
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure surgical accuracy and efficiency
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma/GED and relevant experience in a similar field. A Bachelor's degree in animal or life sciences is preferred, along with certification in SRA or ALAT.

Work Environment:

This role will involve working in a laboratory setting for approximately 85% of the time, with occasional work in an office environment. You will be exposed to animal pathogens and chemicals, and will need to wear personal protective gear, including N95 masks and respirators.
