Job Summary

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia, PC is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures, processing clinical studies, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Identify and assess patients using established procedures, provide instructions and answer questions, and prepare patients for imaging procedures.
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines, modifying techniques as necessary to achieve optimum results.
  • Clinical Studies: Process clinical studies in a timely fashion, notify physicians of abnormal test results, and assist in all aspects of stress testing.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including staff meetings, surveys, and correlation with cath, echo, etc.
  • Medical Records: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documenting all medical evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatment, test results, referrals, and consultations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform quality control testing, evaluate equipment performance, and track and report problems to minimize downtime and rescheduling of patients.
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of clinical nuclear medicine experience with at least 1 year of nuclear cardiology concentration or 2 years of clinical nuclear cardiology experience.
  • Cardiac Spect and Cardiac Pet/CT experience preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and computer knowledge required.
  • Experience with an EMR system a plus.
