About the Job

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs, a leading provider of alternative and special education programs, is seeking an exceptional Instructional Aide II to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a closely related field, as well as experience working with children in an educational setting. As an Instructional Aide II, you will provide individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students, implementing curriculum and behavioral intervention strategies consistent with each student's IEP/ITP/PBIP goals.

You will work closely with the core classroom staff, consulting with supervisors on student progress and assisting in transition plans for integrating students into mainstream settings or adult programs.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to think and act quickly in emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  • Implementing curriculum and behavioral intervention strategies consistent with each student's IEP/ITP/PBIP goals.
  • Providing individualized supervision and instruction to assigned students.
  • Working closely with the core classroom staff to support student success.
  • Assisting in transition plans for integrating students into mainstream settings or adult programs.
  • Preparing accurate and timely documentation on student behavior and progress.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or a closely related field.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • An Emergency 30 Day Sub Permit (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
  • A valid California state driver's license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to think and act quickly in emergency situations.
