Responsibilities
  • Moving material within the distribution center and from the loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
  • Operating personal computers and software programs with strong to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Receiving incoming inventory & Supply items, logging into the company warehouse system, and stocking inventory in the proper location.
  • Filling customer invoices, checking part numbers, cleaning and packing inventory items, inspecting inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage, and notifying the Warehouse Manager of problems.
  • Tracking all inventory in the appropriate system, organizing and cleaning warehouse space and company equipment as needed, reporting any customer problems or concerns immediately, coaching fellow associates on warehouse operational practices and procedures, equipment operation, and safety procedures when needed.
  • Enforcing policies and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe warehouse operations, evaluating current processes and procedures, and recommending changes to warehouse management, contributing ideas on ways to reduce warehouse cost per unit and increase productivity.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of warehouse data system and performing various tasks within the system, delivering supplies and equipment in a timely fashion while observing all Regulated DOT and OSHA standards.
