Job Title: Travel Nurse RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Nurse RN to join our team at PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital.

Job Summary:

The Travel Nurse RN will provide high-quality patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and will be responsible for creating and developing evidence-based policies, procedures, and best practice models/guidelines. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of clinical experience in NICU and 2 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based policies, procedures, and best practice models/guidelines
  • Contribute to the development of Staff Educational Program
  • Educate staff on clinical, administrative, and educational topics
  • Identify specific competencies reflective of the needs of the NICU population
  • Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) Committee
  • Provide consultation to staff nurses in clinical, administrative, and educational roles
  • Utilize advanced clinical knowledge and communication skills to support nursing practice and improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of California
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in NICU
  • 2 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) certification
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred
  • Tech Certification Verification required as applicable
  • Fire Card required for certain departments
  • MAB - Management of Assaultive Behavior and CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute required for certain units
  • NIH Stroke Certification preferred for certain units
  • E-Fit Mask required for certain departments
Work Schedule:

The schedule may vary between day and night shifts. No weekends are required.

Additional Requirements:
  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • Emergency Contact Form required prior to start
  • Physical within 1 year of start is required for all clinical candidates with patient contact
  • NO RTO within 1st two weeks of orientation
