The University of Minnesota's College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) is seeking a part-time teaching position to instruct graduate-level courses in Applied Sciences Leadership. The successful candidate will report to the Associate Director for Graduate Education and work closely with the Director of Graduate Studies for the ASCL program and CCAPS staff to ensure successful alignment with the program curriculum.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the sciences and science-adjacent leadership fields, with a demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse groups of people. A master's degree in a related field is required, with at least 7 years of professional experience in the field or a minimum of 3 semesters of teaching experience in a higher education setting with a record of strong student evaluations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction for ASCL or cross-listed CIVE graduate-level courses, utilizing new technologies to enhance curriculum delivery and accessibility, and utilizing pedagogical best practices for diverse working adult learners. The position requires the ability to teach at scheduled class times, including evening and weekends, and respond to course-related student inquiries within 48 hours.

Qualifications
  • A demonstrative skill and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in the field or a minimum of 3 semesters of teaching experience in a higher education setting with a record of strong student evaluations
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level
