Overview

You will be responsible for diagnosing existing workflows to enhance operational efficiency and maximize uptime. Collaborating closely with operational teams, you will seek out opportunities to enhance mechanical and instrumentation reliability. By applying process improvement methodologies, you will contribute to our Operational Excellence initiatives aimed at increasing profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor production performance and product quality, pinpointing deviations from standards and initiating corrective measures.
  • Analyze current processes and implement corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Identify and execute improvements to procedures that will enhance capacity, reduce manufacturing costs, and improve safety and quality in chemical production.
  • Provide technical support during plant trials and new project launches.
  • Draft operational guidelines and deliver training sessions for chemical operators.
  • Recommend modifications in programming logic to improve process safety, quality, or efficiency.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of process equipment utilized in our facilities, including reactors, agitators, heat exchangers, pumps, and filters.
  • Prepare and secure approvals for Manufacturing Change Requests (MCRs) and Process Change Forms (PCFs) to support process enhancements.
  • Participate in Potential Problem Analysis (PPA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) teams.
  • Create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and conduct mass and energy balance calculations for modified processes.
  • Outline project scopes for minor capital initiatives.
  • Specify new process equipment and update equipment specification documents, collaborating with vendors and operations for selection.
  • Conduct data analysis and statistical evaluations to inform processing decisions.
  • Provide supervisory relief in production units as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
