Position Overview: The role of Nuclear Operations Unit Supervisor is critical in our mission to maintain excellence in safety and reliability within our nuclear fleet. This position requires participation in a comprehensive License Class, designed to equip candidates with the necessary leadership, management, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License or Shift Technical Advisor (STA) training programs.
  • Develop skills in planning, organizing, and directing operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plant operating conditions and technical specifications.
  • Perform supervisory duties while training and develop proficiency in operations.
  • Progress through training to successfully pass the NRC SRO exam.
  • Meet or exceed ANSI standard requirements specific to the site.
  • Fulfill additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required: High School Diploma or GED with relevant nuclear plant experience. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields must have a minimum of 18 months of experience at a comparable facility or 27 months at a non-comparable facility.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Special Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete the SRO license class and obtain the NRC SRO license. Experience in positions equivalent to Reactor Control Operator at military reactors is also preferred.
