We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team at LewisGale Medical Center. As an RN in our Emergency Room, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a culture of excellence and safety.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using electronic medical records and other documentation tools.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, policies, and procedures, and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
- Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (may be required for some positions).
- Two years of experience as an RN in an Emergency Department or critical care setting (may be required for some positions).
- Specialty certifications, such as Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), are highly valued.
