About the Role:The Massage Therapist will be responsible for delivering high-quality massage therapy services, creating a relaxing and rejuvenating environment for clients, and maintaining a professional and confidential practitioner-client relationship.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the delivery of exceptional massage therapy services, adhering to BlueStar standards and policies.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, replacing linens between appointments and cleaning equipment daily.
- Assess client contraindications and customize treatments based on individual needs.
- Practice health care protocol, reporting any incidents or accidents to the Assistant Spa & Fitness Director.
- Perform all treatments on services' menu, maintaining a high level of product knowledge and recommending products for home use.
- Inform the Assistant Spa & Fitness Director of product needs and maintain accurate client records.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year previous customer service and massage experience preferred.
- Must complete state requirements for certified therapist or licensed massage therapist (LMT).
- Must maintain all current licenses and certifications required on a state and local level.
- Ability to work under pressure, balance multiple priorities, and maintain a positive attitude.
This position works in a private low-lit room in the patient spa, with a client. The noise level is usually quiet, with possible sound from relaxing music.
Physical Demands:The physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The therapist may lift and hold a client's hand and/or arm, foot and/or leg, or head/neck during the session.
