JobsRUs is seeking a highly skilled Master Electrician to join our team as an Industrial Equipment Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment, including CNC machinery and packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, wire, and repair industrial equipment, including kilns, CNC machinery, and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform electrical maintenance on motors, controls, PLCs, CNC controls, safety circuits, and other equipment.
- Work with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and IEEE regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems and understand ladder diagrams/logic.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable controllers.
- Understand mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for repair purposes.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth production operations.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, ensuring proper reassembly.
- Use precision instruments in both Metric and English measurement systems.
- Communicate effectively through written reports for maintenance needs.
- Work in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Microsoft Office.
- Plan, schedule, and order materials for various electrical construction projects.
- Document electrical changes and new installations.
- Operate forklifts for equipment repair tasks.
Requirements:
- Must possess a State of Vermont Master Electrician license.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for up to 3 hours.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of self-motivation.
- Ability to prioritize workloads with minimal supervision and plan work effectively.
- Proven ability to work well with others, multitask, and manage daily priorities.
- Experience with electrical construction planning and materials management.
Working Conditions:
The work is performed on-site at our facilities. Duties are carried out on the shop floor, which can be noisy, dusty, and hot during the summer months, and in the office. Proper safety equipment is provided.
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking for extended periods; some tasks performed from a seated position.
- Potential for eyestrain from reading detailed materials and computer screens.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push carts loaded with up to 500 lbs.
- May need to bend and squat to inspect or operate equipment.
Compensation:
Salary starts at $70,000, plus benefits, based on experience.
