Job Title: Tetra Pak Technician

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a skilled Tetra Pak Technician to join our team in the Village of West Jefferson, OH.

Job Summary:

This is a night shift position with a 2-2-3 schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of Tetra Pak packaging equipment, maintaining product quality standards, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation and Setup:

    • Install and configure Tetra Pak machines and systems according to manufacturer specifications and company requirements.
    • Perform initial machine testing and validation to ensure proper setup and functionality.

  2. Maintenance:

    • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on Tetra Pak equipment to minimize downtime and extend machine lifespan.
    • Inspect, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.

  3. Troubleshooting and Repair:

    • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagnostic tools and technical knowledge.
    • Perform necessary repairs and replacements of defective components to restore machine functionality.
    • Collaborate with other technicians and production staff to resolve complex technical issues.

  4. Quality Control:

    • Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards.
    • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.

  5. Training and Support:

    • Train production staff on the safe and efficient operation of Tetra Pak equipment.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.

  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
    • Suggest and implement improvements to maintenance procedures and practices.
Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and diagrams.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals and in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
