Program Assistant/Nurse Aide Paraeducator

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Assistant/Nurse Aide Paraeducator to join our team at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School. As a key member of our Nursing Department, you will work closely with the Nurse Aide Training Program Lead and Nurse Aide Instructors to enhance student achievement and provide support for various academic and administrative activities of the program.

Responsibilities:
  • Student Support: Work directly with students in small groups and individually to enhance their learning experience and achievement.
  • Lab Support: Assist the Instructor in providing skills practice in the nursing lab and preparing students for the state licensing exam.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with test administration, review of homework assignments, scoring, and input of all student data in required platforms.
  • Communication: Follow-up with present and past students to ensure compliance with the needs of the nurse aide training program, including attendance, registration, licensing, employment, and data collection.
  • Program Support: Assist students with the purchase of classroom and nurse aide supplies, completing applications, certifications, regulatory requirements, and compliance-related documents.
  • Financial Management: Collects program-related payments and completes all required documentation.
  • Technical Support: Monitor online platforms, including Credentia, Pre-Check, MD Sentry, Maestro, and CNA Plus, to ensure student account creation and data entry are accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher.
  • Certification: Certified Nursing Assistant in the District of Columbia required.
  • Experience: Previous related experience is a plus.
  • Language: Bilingual proficiency preferred (Spanish, French, and/or Amharic).
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Windows 10/11, the Internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management System (Schoology), Zoom, and G-Suite.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organization skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks and establish task priorities.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to function effectively under pressure.
  • Confidentiality: Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Vaccination: Must be able to provide proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination.
