Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our team at Rec Room. As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our data warehouse and analytics layer, setting us up to scale in both the number of players and internal users.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with cross-functional teams to build out the data layer, empowering analysis, experimentation, and new product features.
- Develop and maintain our ELT pipeline, utilizing tools such as Rudderstack, Fivetran, Prefect, and DBT.
- Design and implement data warehouse models on a Databricks SQL Warehouse, using established patterns and processes.
- Apply software engineering practices to ensure data quality across our pipelines and BI tools.
- Work with senior engineers to take on increasingly complex projects.
- Design and implement top-level company dashboards using tools such as Sigma and Hex.
- Build out experimentation datasets and pipelines for granular analysis of A/B tests.
- Partner with ML teams to build out data models for model deployment.
- Work with partner teams to build datasets impacting production, such as creator and player statistics.
- 3+ years of SQL development experience, with experience in cloud/MPP data warehouse solutions such as Databricks SQL Warehouse preferred.
- Solid proficiency in SQL, including query optimization skills.
- Previous experience with pipeline orchestration, with DBT and Prefect preferred.
- Experience with dashboarding tools, with Sigma and Hex experience a plus.
- Familiarity with processes for handling event-based data a plus.
- Experience with Python and Javascript a plus.
- Competitive base pay range: $132,813 - $179,688 USD.
- Stock options and, in some cases, a sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package.
