Job Overview:

Spurwink Services is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges.

About the Role:

The Learning Support Specialist will provide educational support services to students in grades K-8, working closely with teachers and other clinical professionals as part of a comprehensive treatment team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with treatment goals and educational services throughout their school day
  • Provide supervision and crisis intervention with students as needed
  • Plan and supervise activities for students
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized plans for students

Qualifications:

A minimum of 90 college credits or a bachelor's degree is required for this position. Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III certification is preferred.
