About the Role

As part of the Mapping team at Nuro, you will play a crucial role in advancing autonomous driving systems by creating and improving machine learning models for various teams within the organization. Your expertise in building reliable and scalable machine learning infrastructure will be essential in unlocking geographic capabilities while minimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mainly focus on developing and enhancing data and machine learning systems.
  • Design and implement model training infrastructure for large-scale machine learning model training using existing internal frameworks.
  • Collaborate with other L&M teams to identify issues, establish long-term relationships, and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Provide actionable feedback to model training teams based on data-driven insights and metrics.
  • Contribute to engineering high-performance systems through architectural design, algorithmic optimization, and performance tuning.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable backend systems for machine learning model training and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, distributed systems, reliability, scalability, cloud platforms, and common storage solutions.
  • Able to efficiently develop, debug, and support new technologies in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to write production-quality clean code.
