We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist to provide exceptional care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
POSITION OVERVIEW- Deliver comprehensive pediatric hospitalist services.
- Attend to deliveries, ensuring the stabilization of newborns and offering neonatal care.
- Perform resuscitation and stabilization of critically ill newborns.
- Participate in all cesarean sections and other deliveries as requested by obstetricians.
- Collaborate closely with obstetricians to maintain a secure atmosphere in the delivery room.
- Provide consultations for emergency department physicians regarding pediatric cases.
- Develop, oversee, and implement daily patient care plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribing necessary treatments and therapies.
- Refer patients to appropriate medical specialists, social services, or other professionals as needed.
- Conduct rounds on pediatric patients during multidisciplinary meetings.
- Work collaboratively within an integrated team including care management, nursing, and pharmacy.
- Support patient education and assist in setting health goals.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to established metrics and goals.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of charges for all services rendered.
- Participate in committee meetings, continuous quality improvement, and management discussions as required.
- Board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics.
- Current PALS and NRP certifications.
- Active medical license in the state of Maryland.
- Possession of a DEA License and state Controlled Substance Registration.
- Strong clinical skills in an inpatient setting.
- A collaborative team player focused on quality care.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
